So, I turned to the two concealers that seem to be on *everyone’s* lips at the moment: The just-launched-in-Australia (but comes with a global reputation of being amazing) Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer, and Priceline’s number one seller, Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer .Īlso, here are some fun Internet facts about both Shape Tape and Instant Age Rewind: one Shape Tape sells every 12 seconds, and it's received a full five-star rating on the Tarte website (out of an impressive 8650 reviews), and Instant Age Rewind has got an average star rating of 4.5 here on Beauty Crew, and 4.4 on Google based on a whopping 24k reviews. And while I have some much-loved favourites (I’ve spoken about my love for Nude by Nature Flawless Concealer here), I felt like I needed to up the ante. I obviously needed to call in reinforcements, AKA some heavy-duty concealer. But until that happens, I’ve been shafted with some dark circles of the likes I’ve not really seen on myself before. I’m tired, you’re tired I think we could all collectively use one big nap. However, most the year, it’s still a staple for Helen.2018 has come to an end and it’s been a big one, you guys. Helen has also found that when her under eye area is very very sensitive and dry in the winter, this concealer isn’t the best one to use since it does exaggerate the dry patches and irritates the skin slightly. Keep in mind that this concealer will crease too if you don’t set it with a powder, especially since the formula is a little thicker than the Age Rewind. It also has an easy to use doe-foot applicator that applies the product well and has a decent shade selection. What we’ve found is this one is also a great everyday concealer, especially if you are looking for something with more opaque coverage when you’ve been on a Netflix binge □ Bai bai panda eyes!! It gives more coverage than the Instant Age Rewind but is also a slightly thicker consistency – don’t worry though, it’s still a pretty light formula and blends out seamlessly to cover dark circles. It got a lot of hype because it was labeled as a dupe for the infamous and well-loved “Nars Creamy Concealer.” We’ve never tried it before (cuz das expensif…) but when we heard that there was a drugstore concealer that was comparable we couldn’t resist. However, it’s been around long enough to also become a cult favourite among beauty gurus too. In comparison, the Fit Me concealer is a relatively newer launch. We’ve only tried one shade, but as far we can tell most people have liked only the “Neutralizer” shade, which makes it super limiting for other skin tones. The only real con to this concealer is that it doesn’t have a great shade range. While it claims to help with reducing puffiness and fine lines, neither one of us have really noticed a difference in that department. The sponge-tip applicator also makes it very easy to apply the concealer. It blends well and doesn’t clump, however it can crease so be sure to set it. Our sensitive skins seem to approve of this formula. It’s a great everyday concealer and brightens up the under-eyes while diminishing the look of dark circles. It took us a while to purchase this product because, in our opinion, it is quite pricey for a drugstore concealer, but we eventually caved and we can see why so many people use this. It was the classic, never fail, drugstore concealer that all makeup lovers raved about. Ever since we began watching Youtube beauty gurus, the concealer that everyone seemed to always mention was this Maybelline concealer. Let’s start with the Instant Age Rewind concealer.
